The Earth's crust has large areas affected by salts, covering 8.5% of its total extent. The excess of these minerals represents an environmental liability that compromises agricultural land. This study aimed to evaluate the organomineral fertilizer (OMF) in terms of its ability to promote an increase in the morphogenic characteristics of forage sorghum cv. IPA 467-4-2 cultivated in magnesium-saturated soil. Seven treatments were conducted in the experiment: agricultural gypsum 100% of the recommended dose (CM), dairy sludge 100% of the recommended dose (CO), and four treatments with OMFs formulated with CO 100% and different levels of CM 100; 75; 50; and 25%, in addition to a control treatment without CO or CM. The CO and OMF treatments showed an increase compared to the control in the following variables: number of tillers, total number of leaves, leaf length, number of fully expanded leaves, and expanding leaves 75; 142; 44; 91; and 193%, respectively, considering the overall cycle average. Among the OMFs, the one containing 25% CM presented the highest morphogenic development of the forage sorghum plants in all evaluation cycles. The application of OMF in agricultural systems aims to ensure productivity in marginalized areas by transforming industrial waste into high-value inputs, promoting an efficient integration between environmental sustainability and agricultural productivity.
